Richmond has the one of the highest concentrations of William and Mary alumni in the country, and the Road 2 Richmond trips were a great opportunity for the students and the Mason School of Business to be visible in front of these alums.
Throughout February, we attended three career panels, each focusing on a different career or industry: process management and consulting, finance, and marketing. I spoke with a wide range of companies in industries such as investment banking, insurance, law, accounting, marketing, and information technology.
It was evident to me that there are many diverse and rewarding career paths in Richmond. With all of these companies represented and thoughtful advice and insight from area alums, there was no shortage of opportunity to explore various career paths and to expand your professional network.
Considering the challenges facing many of us at various stages in our careers, it is reassuring to know there are still many alums out there who are willing to help. The fact that alumni were there volunteering their time speaks to the great amount of support that alumni have for William and Mary, the Mason School of Business, and the collaborative efforts of all us to be successful business leaders.
