In December, I and 18 other students made a trip to Southeast Asia with Professor Don Rahtz, and it was phenomenal!

We flew through three countries in light speed; at one point staying in six hotels in five days!  However, we were deeply immersed in the culture, commerce, politics and history of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand respectively.

Before traveling to East Asia, I was greatly interested in Asian commerce. Yet, I didn’t have a clear idea of how or what services I could provide the people of the Occident.  The real-world experience gained from this trip not only gave me several ideas on business services, but also ways to become socially responsible for the workers and people of this region as well.

We were encouraged to document our travels during our trip, as a way to remember the journey, the sites and meetings we had.  This information will be a great follow-up to my interest in Asian Business affairs and provide a unique opportunity to get my feet wet in an area of the world that I was completely foreign to.

Watch a video from a previous trip to Cambodia on YouTube, “Cambodia: Back From Zero.”
