Spring 2014 Mason All MBA Networking Event

All-MBA Networking Event, January 2014Over 100 MBA students from three William & Mary MBA programs, great food and drink, a winter wonderland theme and a few conversation starters: The perfect recipe for another successful All MBA Networking Event on Friday, January 24.  Students from the full-time, Flex (part-time/evening) and Executive MBA Programs chatted, laughed, exchanged business cards and got to know each other at Mason’s twice-yearly event for all MBA students.

While we know that MBA students are great at networking within their programs, it is less easy to meet students with differing class dates and times.  To broaden every MBA’s reach, the Mason School of Business hosts the All MBA Networking Event to encourage creating additional contacts.  Because Flex MBA and Executive MBA students are professionally employed while earning their degrees, there is also a lot of opportunity to learn about businesses in the Hampton Roads, Richmond and DC areas.

MBAs discussed the current hot issues of various industries as well as job search strategies.  There was also some talk of the temperature differences between home and Virginia, especially among students from countries closer to the equator (or from Florida!)  All of the MBAs agreed that venturing out on a very cold night to the William & Mary All MBA Networking Event was well worth it.
