‘Tis the Season for Campus Visits

As you are filling out your application to business school, one very important component in finding the right school for you will not be required – your campus visit. While not mandatory, a campus visit is perhaps the single best way to find out if a program is the right fit for you. Think of it as your opportunity to interview the school!

At the Mason School of Business at The College of William & Mary we try to provide the most individualized experience possible when you visit our campus. Campus visits may include a class session, lunch with a current student, a meeting with one of our world-famous Executive Partners, a tour of our beautiful facility Alan B. Miller Hall, an information session or interview with a member of our Admissions Team or any other variety of activities based on the timing of your visit and what you share with us about yourself and your interests.

One of the main (and most enjoyed!) components of my position as Assistant Director is scheduling these highly personalized campus visits. Therefore, your first step in scheduling a campus visit is to contact me directly. I can be easily reached via telephone (757-221-2900) or email. When scheduling your visit, the more information about yourself that you can provide, the better! This includes a copy of your resume (required to confirm your reservation – unless you do not have a professional resume prepared) and anything you would like to share about your background, decision to go for an MBA or your future career aspirations. It all helps me prepare the best visit possible for you, from the most stimulating class to the best matched student host!

If you are reading this before October 26th, please consider attending our Admissions Fall Social at Homecoming! We will be pulling out all the stops, including an information session with our exclusive MBA CareerPREP department, networking opportunities with current students & alums and even tickets to the Homecoming game. If you have missed this event, never fear! We will be hosting a similar event in February called our Winter Visit Weekend, February 1st – 2nd, 2013. Be sure to keep an eye on our Events Page for sign-up information as it becomes available.

Our whole team looks forward to hosting a visit for you in the near future. It is just the first step in creating a connection with you that we hope will last throughout your time as a member of the Mason Family!
